international student allowed?

I am a masters student - F1 visa , here in virginia, USA. so am i eligible to participate in this hackathon?

    Hi there,

    The Official Rules (quoted below) allow residents of the US. Please note that your country of legal residence may differ from your country of citizenship. If you aren't sure where you hold legal residency, I would recommend consulting a tax professional.

    "The Hackathon IS open to: Individuals who are at least the age of majority and are residents of the United States at the time of entry (“Eligible Individuals”);"
